Getting views from nearly 180 different global stakeholders on potential reforms to the setting of auditing and assurance and ethical standards, is testament to the significant interest that people have in ensuring that they have access to standards that support the delivery of high quality audit work. The Monitoring Group, which is tasked with the oversight of international audit-related standard setting issued a consultation last year which set out options for the reform of standard setting. This consultation closed in February of this year.
