Hopson joined Buzzacott in 1999, leading the expatriate tax services offering. He is dually qualified in US and UK tax and has many years’ experience dealing with the issues faced by Americans overseas and UK nationals in the US, including annual US Federal State and UK self-assessment tax filing, FBAR reporting, expatriation, efficient investing for US/UK tax purposes and tax treaty issues.

He is also an active member of various tax forums and has attended and presented at the US PrimeGlobal Conference annually since 2002.

Francis steps down following eight years in the role after joining the firm in 1987 as a graduate trainee. She is also a partner in Buzzacott’s charity team, with significant expertise in charity audit and accounting as well as the provision of financial and general advice in respect to the operation of charities and trading companies associated with charities.

Buzzacott is ranked 23 in Accountancy’s Top 75 firms survey with a fee income of £37m in 2017. The firm has over 400 staff in its London office, of which 33 are partners, and also has a expatriate tax services offering in Hong Kong. Buzzacott is also the largest UK firm in PrimeGlobal, an accounting association.
