Cambridge-based tax, accountancy, legal and financial planning firm Websters has announced that local chartered accountancy firm Anderson & Co has joined the business, in a move designed to expand its areas of expertise

Andrew Webster, chief executive of Websters, said: ‘The two businesses share a similar ethos, with many values in common. Both have a strong focus on providing a client-friendly service with the highest standard of advice.
‘We see this as a great opportunity to create a critical mass enabling us to offer an enhanced level of service and expertise to our clients. Our team is now over 30 people serving almost 2,000 clients, both businesses and individuals.
‘We particularly see it as an opportunity to strengthen Websters’ expertise in dealing with larger business.’
John Anderson and Adrian Doggett, the partners of Anderson & Co, said: ‘We have worked with Websters for 20 years using their specialist tax and legal services on an ad hoc basis for the benefit of our clients. We felt that there was an exciting prospect of an enhanced combined business using all our collective skills.’
