Guernsey accountant who blamed house sitter for growing £19,000 worth of cannabis while away in Thailand excluded from ICAEW

Matthew Hart FCA is an ICAEW member based in Guernsey, where he worked for Deloitte between January 2005 and July 2024. Before his departure from the firm, he was an associate director, and he managed the Guernsey advisory business.

In July 2024 Hart was convicted in the Royal Court of Guernsey for growing and owning Class B drugs, specifically cannabis, as well as possessing class C drugs, including Xanax and Gabapentin.
