The Competition Commission (CC) has stated it will now be publishing its final report on its statutory audit services market investigation in early to mid-October.

Confirmation that its findings will be available shortly before the statutory publication deadline of 20 October 2013 are given on the CC website, which shows a revised administrative timetable.

The CC produced its provisional findings on the auditing of listed companies and notice of possible remedies to increase competition in mid-February. This was followed by a more detailed discussion published in July outlining its proposed remedies, which were subject to a consultation closing in August.
