Charities: reducing the impact of Brexit - part 4

Helena Wilkinson FCA, partner at Price Bailey, considers the potential impact of Brexit on charities and what they can do to minimise the effects of a political situation which has great significance for charities that operate internationally

A question now being raised is which charities will be affected by Brexit. The simple answer is that all organisations will be affected by Brexit, either through direct changes which affect their income streams, services or products imported from EU, staffing implications, or future changes in government policy once we have formally left the EU.

Charities need to consider the risks of the potential affects of Brexit on them due to immigration. For many, there is likely to be an impact on future income and any substitution income from UK government or international sources.
