Individuals can now receive an email alert informing them when a company files with Companies House as part of its new follow service, which shows people what has been filed by a company as soon as it has been approved
The Follow service functions like social media site, Twitter, allowing people to follow a company to receive an email alert instantly showing what has been filed by Companies House as soon as it gains approval.
The email alert will contain a link to the filing history of the company with individuals being able to download a copy of the document for free.
Alerts will also be sent when a company transaction has been removed.
Any company registered on Companies House can be followed, with government advising companies to follow themselves for added security.
To begin following companies individuals will have to log in to Companies House and search for a company, once on the company page click ‘follow this company’.
To view all the companies followed by the account click ‘companies you follow’ and to stop receiving email alerts for a company choose ‘unfollow’.
