Companies House rebrands to meet government guidelines

Companies House is having a change of logo as part of a move to create cohesive and consistent branding across all government departments.

The existing logo, which features the capital letters 'C' and 'H' inside an oval ring, will be replaced with the Royal Coat of Arms which is being used to create a new single identity across all official bodies and which the government says is clearer and more distinguishable.

Companies House, which is an executive agency under the remit of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), says it will be replacing its logo in a phased approach, starting this month with changes to its website and online services. Stationery will be updated as and when stock levels need replacing, so there may be some inconsistency in paper-based materials for a while.

The government says that by adopting the Royal Coat of Arms across all its departments and agencies it is making it easier for people to identify when they are communicating with a government organisation.
