Compliance Checks – An Inspector Calls

What do the new compliance rules that take effect in April mean for accountants and tax advisers? Revenue & Customs outlines the key changes.

Revenue & Customs’ new compliance checking framework and accompanying safeguards come into effect on 1 April 2009. The new rules will apply to income tax, PAYE, corporation tax, capital gains tax and VAT.
