Citycom Systems, run by Amjad Khan and Rehman Khan, appealed to the First Tier Tribunal (FTT) against income tax assessments in regard to coronavirus support payments, that were designed to help businesses through the pandemic, that were found to be ‘excessive’.

Khan represented the management consultancy company at the FTT.

In total the two directors claimed £37,884.88 via 18 separate claims all for two employees that were coincidentally the directors.

By May 2021 HMRC informed the company it would be opening a check into it in regard to CJRS claims. However, the letter sent by HMRC was not addressed to the business address but to an address in Birmingham.
