DJH snaps up McBrides in first southern deal

Private equity backed DJH acquires Kent-based McBrides Accountants LLP in first push into south of England

This is the first deal in the south of England for DJH, which is headquartered in Stoke and has 10 offices across the Midlands, Northwest and Yorkshire. This will act as a ‘springboard’ for the group’s expansion into London and the south, the group said.

The eight-strong partner team at McBrides will all remain post acquisition as will the 50 staff, and the firm will operate under its own name, with a rebranded tagline ‘in partnership with djh’. McBrides was set up in 1973 and is a full-service accountancy firm with fee income in the region of £4m and an office in Sidcup in Kent.

The business will continue to be led by managing partner Tanya Hamilton along with the seven current partners, Masum Ahmed, Andy Carey, Mark Grady, Nigel Kimber, Nigel Ling, Nick Paterno and Andrew Warren.
