DJH acquires ‘forward thinking’ Thorne Widgery

Private equity backed DJH acquires Thorne Widgery, seeing potential to roll out the firm’s technology expertise to specialist areas of the wider group

DJH has agreed a deal to acquire Thorne Widgery, strengthening its growing presence across the Midlands and Welsh borders with key clients in Shropshire and Herefordshire. This is the fourth acquisition in as many months for the Tenzing backed group.

Founded in the 1940s, Thorne Widgery has 55 staff, and the management and team will remain at the business now it is part of DJH. It is very technology driven with its own Xero specialist team and has developed particular expertise in the academy school sector, as well as a strong local client base of owner managed businesses.
