Top 30 firm Duncan & Toplis has marked a century in business with a celebration of the past 100 years and staff who contributed to the group’s success since it was founded in 1925 by Stanley Duncan and Eric Toplis. 

Back in the early days of Duncan & Toplis, Eric Toplis, one of the founders, was deeply involved in farming circles and even served as secretary of the National Farmers Union in Grantham. Many of the firm’s first clients were farmers navigating new tax rules during and after the war, and those relationships helped shape where the firm is today.
