The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) is asking for feedback from preparers, users, academics and others on their experiences with IFRS 13 Fair Value Measurement, to feed into the IASB’s post implementation review of the standard
In May IASB initiated the public consultation phase of the post implementation review for IFRS 13 by publishing a request for comment on the effect of implementing the standard.
EFRAG says it wants to obtain evidence about any aspect of the application of IFRS 13 and is seeking specifically to understand whether there are areas of IFRS 13 that represent implementation challenges and whether unexpected cost have arisen when meeting the requirements of the standard.
The outreach includes questionnaires to users and other constituents. The questionnaires are based on the questions in the IASB's request for information, but include additional questions on areas that EFRAG believes call for more detailed insight.
The deadline for responses is 8 September 2017.
