The latest employment tax news, from coding out Class 2 NICs, the future of childcare vouchers under threat and NICs bills for limited partners

The death knell of childcare voucher schemes is set to sound, although not just yet.

Employer-provided childcare vouchers became popular when they were made wholly NIC-free (although still taxable in full), and really took off as an employee benefit in 2005 when the NIC exemption was capped at £50 per week (pw) but matched by a tax exemption.
