Ex Baldwin bosses secure private equity funding

Former Baldwin Group directors have signed a deal with private equity firm Palatine for a sizeable investment in their new firm, BK Plus

 

Palatine has confirmed that it has acquired a ‘significant minority shareholding’ in the Midlands based accountancy firm, BK Plus, which was set up in February 2021. The current directors David Baldwin and Shaun Knight will remain with the business and a new chair has been brought in by Palatine, Mike Ward.

The value of the deal was not disclosed by the Manchester based private equity firm.

As part of the transaction, Ward is being appointed chairman. He has experience in the professional services sector as well as expertise in buy and build strategies having been CEO of law firm Gateley plc.
