Fake companies shut down for £180k covid loan fraud

Two fake personal protective equipment (PPE) companies that fraudulently took £180,000 from Covid-19 loans have been shut down

CK Sales Ltd and Lambden Smart Solutions Ltd have been wound up by the High Court and the Official Receiver has been appointed liquidator of the companies after they obtained £180,000 of bounce back loans (BBL) after having never actually traded.

The Insolvency Service launched its investigation into the companies, which both claimed to supply personal protective equipment, after it received information from the National Anti-Fraud Network.

The investigation found that there was no evidence that either company had ever traded in the personal protective equipment supply market or any other area of business.
