Family jailed for £2.8m property fraud

A mother and her three sons have been jailed after a mortgage and property investment fraud which resulted in losses to investors of over £1.5m

Four property developers have been jailed for multiple counts of mortgage and investment fraud which resulted in losses to investors of over £1.5m with the defendants benefitting from over £2.8m.

Audrey Osbourn, and her sons Gary, Clayton and Ian Moore, all in their 40s, were found guilty of multiple counts of fraud and money laundering-related offences and sentenced to three years imprisonment each with the exception of Ian Moore, who received a sentence of two years and four months.

Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court heard that many of the people the defendants scammed were friends, who have all suffered huge financial and emotional damage.
