Finance boss jailed for stealing £60k

A company finance controller has been jailed for 16 months after fraudulently taking over £60,000 from the company where she worked

Vicki Fortune has been sentenced to 16 months by Portsmouth Crown Court after pleading guilty to fraud by false representation after stealing a total of £61,764 from the company she worked for between August 2018 and December 2019.

The court heard that Fortune joined the family construction business Architectural Louvre Products & Services (ALPS) as a financial controller in July 2018, and within a month she was appointed the company secretary. Once in this position, Fortune then began channelling company money into four separate personal accounts.
