Sunday night fear was kicking in. Two weeks off and the time which at the start of the holiday had stretched forward endlessly had come to an end. I had not looked at my emails. WhatsApp, text and the phone had all remained blissfully silent.

I had discussed with some of the younger members of the office in some pre-holiday idle kitchen chat that they liked to keep on top of emails while they were away. They obviously did not have holidays where they must get kids to bed before hitting the much more reasonably priced euro-wine.
