Ernst & Young (EY) is to be investigated by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) in connection with potential breaches of the ethical standards for auditors.

The FRC said its investigation into the conduct of EY and a former member is in relation to the non-timely disposal of a share-holding in a client entity.
