The Friday interview

What was your first pay cheque? It would have been about £600 back in December 1997. What did you spend it on? I had to buy a suit, shirt and tie for interviews. I still wear the tie now and again so like to think it was a good one. Dining out or entertaining at home? With the kids, life is a whole lot easier if we entertain at home and I'm told I'm not too bad a cook. Most expensive thing ever bought? My beloved Burnley football club needed to raise some money, so for a grand, I bought a personalised 'strip', of the shirt variety, in a fundraiser! Best bargain ever had? I once made £400 on a £2 quid 50 bet! One luxury you're going without during the credit crunch? Having evenings during the week at home with my family seem a bit of a thing from the past. Best money-saving tip? Keeping your tyres pumped up saves quite a bit on petrol. One thing you shouldn't buy but always do? A losing lottery ticket Your favourite currency and why? American dollars, I'd love to go back to Vegas one day Best way of spending money on a rainy day is A take away and a DVD is a good start
