HMRC have issued a reminder that they will not accept Gift Aid and tax repayment claims made on R68(i) forms after 1 October 2013.

Charities or Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) must now use Charities Online to claim Gift Aid tax repayments or tax back on other income.

For those who do not have access to the internet, a new paper repayment claim form, ChR1, will replace all existing R68 series claim forms.

The form is designed so that HMRC can automatically scan the information into the new system.

Old R68 forms or photocopies of the ChR1 will not be accepted because the new system will not be able to scan the information.
