Global digital services tax plan delayed

Plans to introduce a digital services tax for global multinationals have been delayed by a year, the OECD has confirmed, as some countries had problems with aspects of the tax rules

The global digital services tax was supposed to come into effect from 1 January 2024, but will now be delayed until 1 January 2025 at the earliest. The delay has been signed off by the 138 countries already signed up to the digital services tax.
