The estate of the tragic Big Brother star, Jade Goody, has been slapped with a £1m tax bill.
Goody, who died of cancer in 2009, left £1m to her two sons, now aged eight and nine.
However HMRC officials are understood to be claiming £1,035,92 - having raised the bill from an initial £566,000, the Sun reported.
The tax authority ruled that this was the amount due and that business expenses and losses on her beauty salon in Harlow, Essex, did not qualify for tax relief.
The tax bill is inclusive of £119,000 in interest.
Trustees are expected to sell her three Essex homes.
Trustee Danny Hayward - who has spent the last four years getting Goody's finances in order, said the trustees intended to appeal the matter, and 'fight to the end in true Jade-style to fulfil her last wishes for the boys, no matter how long it may take.'
HMRC said it could not comment on the cases of individuals.
