The flexible working regime means that HMRC staff will be able to work from home at least two days a week permanently and will permit full-time home working a possibility for some if the role is suitable. This will include the ability to work evenings and weekends at home.

The new working arrangements will be offered to all employees of HMRC, including new recruits. HMRC has stated that it is not a contractual requirement but an option for staff.
