HMRC opens Glasgow regional hub

The tax authority’s Glasgow regional centre has opened its doors to 3,000 HMRC staff as well as a further 145 from other government departments

The Glasgow regional hub, based at 1 Atlantic Square, opened its doors for civil servants on Tuesday, the same day HMRC’s Nottingham regional centre opened. The Glasgow site is Scotland’s second centre and now means there are 11 regional centres open in the UK.

The nine-storey new-build development is based in the heart of Glasgow's International Financial Services District and is just a short walk from major transport connections and close to local amenities.

Like the Nottingham office, the design of the space focused on inclusiveness with level access, power-assisted wide doors, security gates, and height adjustable desks to support staff who use wheelchairs. It also includes a private area for staff who use assistance dogs.
