Clint Canning was found guilty of conspiracy to commit fraud at Southwark Crown Court on 15 December 2022 and was sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment. He was also given a 15-year director disqualification.

His partner, Eleise Wallace, was found guilty of money laundering and was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment suspended for two years. She was also ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work and handed a rehabilitation order of 15 days at the same court.

Canning, who used numerous aliases to commit the fraud, was involved in setting up a company called Base2Trade, which claimed to invest in the binary options market between 2014 and 2015. The company was shut down in 2015.
