Johnston Carmichael joins PKF global network

Johnston Carmichael has become the second UK firm to join the global network run by PKF International Ltd (PKFI), following in the footsteps of PKF Littlejohn which signed up in July.

The PKFI network includes 300 member firms across 400 locations, in around 125 countries. Johnston Carmichael, which is Scotland's largest independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, will remain an entirely independent firm within the PKFI network.

PKFI CEO, John Sim, said: 'Johnston Carmichael's strong focus on "people and relationships" fits perfectly with the ethos of the network and also meets our strategic objective to recruit firms with significant practices that cover the main UK commercial cities.'

Founded in 1936, Johnston Carmichael has revenues of over £33m, 53 partners and over 550 staff based in 11 locations across Scotland. It is currently ranked at 21st in the Accountancy list of Top 60 firms.
