Kaslers Solicitors LLP has ceased trading following the appointment of joint administrators Charles Turner and Gareth Morris of FRP Advisory LLP.
The Maidstone-based law firm hit problems when it lost a contract to provide personal injury claim services. Due to the current economic outlook and prospect of rises in professional indemnity insurance premiums, a statement said it was not viable to continue trading.
The partners at FRP Advisory provided guidance during August, prior to the firm entering into administration, with a view to protecting the interests of clients, employees and creditors. The firm went into administration on 31 August 2012.
Charles Turner, partner at FRP Advisory, said: 'Upon our initial introduction it was apparent that the firm was no longer in a position to continue to trade following the withdrawal of a significant contract for the provision of personal injury claim services.
'Our upmost focus has been to act in the interests of the clients as well as all creditors. With a view to this we assisted with a short trading period - to facilitate the transfer of clients and fee earners to other legal firms.'
