KPMG and Grant Thornton top LGBTQI+ index

Two accountancy firms have been recognised in Stonewall’s Top 100 Employers 2023 list for inclusion of LGBTQI+ rights in the workplace

Stonewall’s annual lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer (LGBTQI+) rights index lists the Top 100 Employers, which are committed to supporting their LGBTQI+ staff and customers.

Organisations from all sectors are represented, with private sector organisations making up 57% of the top 100, followed by the public sector at 37%.

Financial services (21%) were the most represented in the list, followed by education (16%), health and social care (12%) and the legal sector (11%).

Big Four firm KPMG was ranked eighth in this year’s list, while Grant Thornton ranked 38 in the latest results, up from 143 in 2022.

Grant Thornton has received a Gold Employer Award for its commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion over the last five years.
