Mid-tier firm Leonard Curtis has confirmed its newly-established legal services division, which it will run from Manchester headed by its head of business restructuring Andrew Gregory
The move makes Leonard Curtis the latest among a small number of multi-disciplinary practices, following Kingston Smith’s alternative business structure (ABS) licence granted in September last year. Big Four firms PwC, Deloitte, KPMG and EY all have ABS status.
Leonard Curtis Legal (LCL) will operate as a subsidiary firm and provide legal solutions for the Leonard Curtis Group, and also offer legal services to ‘complement’ their accountancy and other specialist operations. Filings with Companies House show LCL was incorporated on 12 October 2015.
Legal solutions offered by LCL will include advice on start-ups, business finance, contract reviews, employment advice, cash management, debt recovery and dispute resolution.
Services to individuals will include advice for sole traders and partners, support for directors and shareholders in a wide range of situations including strategies for those seeking to exit a business.
Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group director Daniel Booth said: ‘The wider group sees more and more situations that need a solution which crosses over professional disciplines and services in the SME space. Adding legal services was a natural next step for Leonard Curtis.’
The new business will be headquartered at 3 Hardman Square, Spinningfields, in Manchester.
