The club faces being suspended from competition unless they can demonstrate they can be funded through next season, with an extended deadline of 4pm on 6 June to complete a potential takeover from a US investor.

London Irish Rugby Ground Limited, London Irish Holdings and London Irish Scottish Richmond Limited have all been identified as part of the petition, which was served by HMRC last week.

Employees have only been paid half of their wages for May, after being paid late in April.

London Irish now faces suspension from the Gallagher Premiership unless a takeover has been completed or they can demonstrate they have the funding to operate for the 2023-24 season.
