Menzies merges with Beever and Struthers

The mid-tier firm will rocket up the Top 75 table as the merger with Beever and Struthers takes the combined fee income over £110m and increase the headcount to more than 1,000

Menzies and Beevers and Struthers have signed off a deal that will create a national firm and take the combined headcount to more than 1,000 from around 700.

Simon Massey, managing partner, Menzies LLP, said: ‘The merger with Beever and Struthers is a defining moment for Menzies.

‘Their reputation in the not-for-profit, education, and social housing sectors is unmatched. This merger enables us to scale with purpose, deepen our sector specialisms, and continue investing in our people, clients, and future growth. Together, we’re building a truly national firm that stands out for quality, expertise, and trusted relationships.’

The two firms are both on Business & Accountancy Daily’s Top 75 list, with Menzies sitting in 26th and Beever and Struthers in 55th.  If the pair’s combined income is around the £110m mark it would narrowly miss the top 20 but overtake Haines Watts. However, it would fall just below Cooper Parry which has made several acquisitions this year already.
