Moira Stuart has been unveiled as the star of the new Revenue and Customs tax adverts.
The former BBC newsreader will be publicising the self-assessment campaign for the new 31 October paper tax returns and the 31 January deadline for online tax returns.
The television adverts will be on television screens next week throughout October and then again in January. Stuart will also feature on billboards and posters, and in press and online adverts.
Launching the campaign, Revenue head of marketing Simon Vessey, said: 'It's great news that Moira's fronting our self-assessment campaign. She's a household name that people naturally tune into and trust, and that's essential when you're communicating a major change like the 31 October paper filing deadline.'
In February this year, the Revenue announced that broadcaster Adam Hart-Davis was to be dropped from the adverts after five years.
More than 9m self assessment tax returns are issued every year by the Revenue. Last year, around 5.2m people filed on paper, while 3.8m people filed online.
