ICAEW now requires all members and regulated individuals to complete a minimum number of hours of CPD, ensuring a proportion of this is verifiable and evidenced.

But trying to record and evidence a wide variety of CPD activities across an array of different platforms can be very tricky.

So, we’ve developed the Croner-i CPD Recording Tool. The tool has been principally designed for those adhering to the new ICAEW requirements, which came into force on 1 November 2023. But can equally be used for members of other institutes and includes helpful links to guidance from all the main accounting institutes to make sure you stay compliant.

The tool is freely available to all and will help you to track your activities throughout the CPD year. It’s in a simple and easy to understand Excel template with tabs for Navigate Research, Navigate Learning and Accountancy Daily.

So, you’re primed to take advantage of the CPD tracking which is already in place within all of our platforms.

You can simply download your CPD records from each of these systems, along with CPD activities undertaken offline and on other providers. The tool will automatically calculate your total CPD hours.

Then you’ll then need to compare this against the requirements of your institute, or in the case of ICAEW your category (1, 2 or 3), to check compliance.

Our tool includes a helpful User Guide with step-by-step directions.

If you are selected by your institute for checks, you can simply submit this tool along with your supporting evidence for hours which you deem verifiable.

Member firms will also be able to utilise our tool ensuring all relevant employees keep records in an easy to understand, and uniform format helping them with any compliance checks down the line.
