CPD module

The latest CPD module focuses on audit disclosure and the rapidly changing requirements in light of the implementation of the EU Audit Regulations in the UK from 2016, presented by our audit expert, Katharine Bagshaw FCA

This module is targeted at accountants and practitioners involved in audit and focuses specifically on the audit of disclosures in light of a fast changing audit landscape and new rules on disclosure.

By completing this module you will be able to:

  • explain the different types of disclosures that have developed in recent years and the lack of consistency in how they are currently audited;
  • why requirements for auditing disclosures are changing;
  • what the new requirements are likely to be when implemented in the UK following the introduction of the EU Audit Regulations from June 2016; and
  • assess the implications for your audit methodology and practices.

Learning time: 15 minutes

The lecturer is Katharine Bagshaw FCA, a chartered accountant and author, specialising in the technical aspects of auditing standards. She worked for 20 years in professional training, many of these overseas, and has served as auditing examiner for ACCA. She now works part-time for ICAEW and sits on IFAC’s SMP Committee.
