New offer for Portsmouth Football Club, says PKF

Joint administrators PKF have confirmed they have received another offer for Portsmouth Football Club which is being actively considered.

The offer was made by Keith Harris, a former chairman of the Football League, Pascal Najadi, deputy chairman of the investment bank AIAK Group, and investor Alan Hitchins.

Harris has indicated that he would like to meet with Pompey Supporters' Trust (PST) to discuss a stakeholding and participation in the club going forward. PST has been attempting to find a way to secure Portsmouth's future by making it the first former Premier League club to be run by a fans' trust.

Trevor Birch, PKF partner and joint administrator of Portsmouth Football Club (2010) Ltd, said: 'We believe this offer is worthy of consideration and could be completed without the need for a court case. We will need to discuss the terms of the deal with the PFA and the Football League, and also plan to consult the cCreditors' committee as a matter of urgency.'
