The OECD is holding a webcast on 22 September to update tax professionals on plans for the multilateral instrument for tax treaties, a key element of the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) project
The topics covered in the webcast include an update on negotiation of the multilateral instrument for tax treaty-related BEPS measures as well as outcomes from the G20 ministerial tax policy symposium, and the recent G20 summit in Shanghai and an overview of tax policy reforms.
The main objective of the multilateral instrument is to modify existing bilateral tax treaties in an efficient manner to implement the tax treaty measures developed in the OECD's BEPS project.
The webcast will be hosted by the OECD's Centre for Tax Policy and Administration (CTPA) and will run for an hour from 2pm GMT.
Questions for the panel can be sent in advance to [email protected] and registration is required to attend the webcast.
