In 2023, at accountancy firms with under 200 employees the percentage of female partners was only 14.6%, with 17.6% of women in director roles and 35.6% were senior managers.

Firms with 200 to 2,000 employees had the highest percentage of female senior managers at manager and director level with 52.3% and 39.4% respectively, falling to 22.4% for partners.

The figures are even starker when the Big Four firms are stripped out as they all have between 25% and 50% of women partners. Deloitte is the best firm for diversity, outperforming all the other Big Four with 346 female partners out of 642.
