Pensions dashboard five years behind schedule

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has revealed that the pensions dashboard is five years behind schedule with many facing a four-year wait to access their pensions information

The department has published a consultation on the pensions dashboard programme setting out plans for the rollout and the type of information that will be available to individual pension savers.

The pensions dashboard is designed to tell users the total of all their pension savings accrued through their state, workplace, and personal pensions.

Master trust pensions will be available on the dashboard from June 2023, however, public service pensions schemes will only become accessible from April 2024 after initially being promised for use in 2019 before being delayed until 2023. Others face a four-year wait until 2026 to see their entire online pensions dashboard.
