Oliver Grosse-Brauckmann has been made the regional director for the Europe, Middle East and India region at PKF International. He will be reporting to the PKFI chairman Wolfgang Hofmann and EMEI regional chairman Paul De Weerdt. Grosse-Brauckmann will be responsible for strengthening relationships with existing member firms and recruiting new members. David Alexander, director of forensic services at Smith & Williamson, has been re-elected as president of the UK Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. It has over 50,000 members worldwide. Jack Lunn Group, the Yorkshire-based construction, property and development business, has appointed Richard Brown as a non-executive director. He has previously worked as a senior partner at Leeds-based accountants John Gordon Walton & Co and the Leeds office of BDO, until he retired in June 2007. Daniel Haigh has been appointed as manager within Cooper Parry's business recovery and insolvency services team. He will be working with directors on various business issues. He trained for his chartered accountancy and insolvency exams with Hazlewoods in Gloucestershire, and then went on to BRI UK in Coventry. Begbies Traynor Group has launched a specialist forensic service in the Midlands. Martin Long, a former Grant Thornton partner in Birmingham, will be heading BTG Forensic. He has over 25 years' experience in accountancy. The Birmingham office adds to those already in place in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Plymouth. Liz Whitfield has joined Solihull-based accountants Jerroms as partner. A former KPMG corporate finance specialist and business development expert, she will be spearheading a new marketing business drive. Blick Rothenberg Accountants has appointed a new private client partner. Frank Nash is a chartered tax adviser, making the move from a regional firm, and specialises in assisting high net worth clients. Tax specialists group, the TACS Partnership, has appointed Mark McLaughlin as an associate. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and has been a consultant to professional services since 1998.
