Facebook has appointed David Wehner as vice president of corporate finance and business planning. Wehner leaves the online gaming company Zynga to join the social media group and Mark Vranesh replacing him as chief financial officer.

Frank Nelson has been made interim CFO at Lamprell. Over the past six months, the British oil rig producer issued four profit warnings and saw Jon Cooper leave the role last month. Nelson joins from Galliford Try where he served as finance diretor.

The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation have confirmed Mary Tokar is to serve at least a four year term as a member of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). Tokar headed up KPMG's International Financial Reporting Group for 10 years and previously was the senior associate chief accountant, International, in the Chief Accountant's Office at the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Bill Stothart is to be the next CFO at the University of Chester. Stothart will also take on the bursar role at the university and was formerly vice-principal/director of finance and resources at Wirral Metropolitan College.

Dee Valley has made David Strahan finance director at the water company. Most recently the Ulster man was managing director at Belfast-based gas supplier Phoenix Group for six years.
