Azets has appointed Laura Duggan as a tax partner to strengthen its corporate tax services offering in the north west. She is based in the Manchester office, covering the firm’s six offices in the region. Duggan has over 18 years’ experience in tax advisory work for a range of corporate and personal taxes for the owner managed business sector advising on all tax aspects from the company through to its shareholders and their personal taxes. Most recently she ran her own tax and accounting business and was a director at R&D Tax Solutions.  

Lubbock Fine has appointed Shaharan Deen as tax and trusts director and Sharon Parker as senior VAT manager. With nearly 20 years of experience, Deen has a strong background in advising clients on personal, trust, and estate tax matters. He previously worked at PKF as a senior manager, private client and trust tax and originally trained at Deloitte. Parker joins from Moore Kingston Smith and has over two decades of experience, specialising in VAT planning, compliance reviews, complex VAT liability, place of supply issues and negotiations with HMRC. She has a particular interest in advising on land and property transactions and financial services.
