BDO has appointed two partners, Diane Campbell and John Perry, to its audit practice. Campbell joins from BDO’s Vancouver office. She originally trained with BDO in 1986 and became a partner in 2000, she is returning to the firm after six years in Canada where she gained experience of the North American market. Perry joins as an audit partner in the financial services team. He joins from PKF Littlejohn and prior to that held a number of roles in KPMG’s insurance practice in both the UK and New Zealand.

Deloitte has appointed insurance technology expert, Nigel Walsh, as a partner in its insurance practice. He was previously UK head of insurance at Capgemini where he advised UK and European insurance companies on major systems replacements and technology transformation projects.

MHA MacIntyre Hudson has promoted John Mendes to partner in its London office. Mendes founded MacIntyre Hudson’s outsource team which provides accountancy and payroll solutions to a range of UK and international clients. He joined the firm after running his own outsource services company for 18 years.

Dermot Callinan has joined Saffery Champness as partner in its Harrogate office. He joins from KPMG where he was head of the UK private client advisory team. Callinan is a specialist in domestic and international personal taxation with his client base including wealthy individuals, partnerships and entrepreneurs. Previous to KPMG he has also worked for EY and Deloitte.

The Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) has appointed Lloyd Hinton as deputy vice president, who is expected to become president in April 2018. He has been a member of the IPA since 2001 and has been a licence holder since 2007, as well as being a member of the IPA council.
