Mazars has appointed Sanjay Ranchhoojee as audit and assurance partner in its London office. He joins from Mazars in South Africa where he was head of audit. He has 20 years of experience of listed audits, and will help strengthen Mazars’ position within the FTSE 350 audit market at a time when major sector reform is on the horizon. The firm has also appointed Vivian Pereira to the newly created role of banking and capital markets partner in its London office. Pereira joins Mazars from Deloitte where he was also a partner. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing Mazars’ banking & capital markets assurance & advisory business.

BDO LLP has further strengthened its tax expertise with the appointment of two new partners. Ed Gibson joins the firm as an international tax partner having spent almost 20 years advising clients on their global tax requirements. His role at BDO will see him utilise this expertise, advising clients on a wide range of international tax issues including those related to overseas expansion, cross-border transactions and international restructuring. Based in the northwest, he joins from Deloitte. Radeep Mathew also joins as a partner in the firm’s tax team, where he will focus on advising clients on issues around R&D tax incentives and innovation strategies. He has over 15 years’ experience advising a wide range of clients from owner managed businesses to larger corporates with an international presence. He joins from consultancy firm Leyton and will be based in London.
