BDO has promoted an enormous 980 people across its audit, tax and advisory service lines, following a successful 2016 for the mid-tier firm
In October, BDO’s revenues exceeded the £400m mark for the first time as it announced revenues of £405m in its annual results.
The firm’s profits also grew 22% to £80.3m compared to 2015’s figure of £65.6m.
Paul Eagland joined the firm in October as its new managing partner, taking over from Simon Michaels.

Baroness Neville-Rolfe DBE CMG has been appointed as commercial secretary (minister of state) at the Treasury. She was previously a minister of state at the department for business, energy and industrial strategy (BEIS).
McLintocks has appointed Lynsey Jenkins as a senior tax manager at its Chester office. She has joined from a large national firm and began her career in a local firm, where she trained and qualified as a chartered accountant and a chartered tax adviser.
The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) has appointed John Kavanagh and Lily Aaron to its policy and public affairs team. Kavanagh has joined a UK public affairs manager and will be managing relationships within both national and regional Government to raise the profile of ACCA. Aaron has joined as policy manager for Europe, working across the region to develop and promote ACCA policy positions.
Martin Sisk has been appointed as chairperson of the Irish Auditing & Accounting Supervisory Authority (AASA). He has almost 30 years’ regulatory, financial and business related experience, and is a solicitor. He started his career in the Revenue Commissioners of Ireland. He has been an independent non-executive director of the interim board of the Office of Government Procurement since May 2015 and is a director of the Irish League of Credit Unions and chairman of VHI Healthcare and Sisk has been appointed to the role following the untimely death of professor Brendan Walsh earlier this year.
Legal & General Group has appointed Jeff Davies as Group CFO. He will take up the role after the 2016 preliminary results announcement in spring 2017.
