John Talbot has joined Bishop Fleming as an audit director in its Bath office. He joins from BDO where he was also an audit director, prioir to this he worked at EY for seven years. He is experienced in dealing with a wide range of corporate sectors, including manufacturing, IT, professional services and leisure and hospitality. He is also experienced in the not-for-profit sector, particularly charities and membership organisations. Talbot's clients have ranged from start-ups to mature businesses, and include owner-managed, Private Equity backed, listed and subsidiaries of overseas entities.

Gibson Hewitt has appointed Jananthan Suresh as an insolvency administrator. He joins straight from university after completing his masters degree. As part of his training he will study towards an ACA qualification.

FRP Advisory has added Matthew Flower and Colin Strevens to its corporate finance team. Flower will work in the London office and joins as a partner from AlixPartners. He has also previously worked for Piper Jaffray, ING Barings, Deutsche Bank, UBS and PwC. Colin Strevens joins as a director from PwC, where he has gained more than 10 years corporate advisory experience. He has advised on transactions across sectors from retail and consumer to media, automotive, manufacturing, business and financial services. He will work in the firms Birmingham office.

Moore Thompson has appointed chartered accountants, Jemma Witting and Michelle Robinson, to its Wisbech office to provide support and advice to a wide range of businesses and individuals in the town. The firm has also hired two junior members of staff. Trainees Jordan Mayman and Kieran Hornsby have started work at the practices offices in Market Deeping, where they will gain valuable professional experience alongside their studies for the AAT qualification.

Russell Bedford International, the global network of independent accounting and business advisory firms, has announced the appointment of Stephen Hamlet as chief executive officer. He joins from IAPA where he was also CEO and prior to that was regional executive director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for BKR International. Hamlet replaces Alan bezant who is retiring after four years in the role.

HURST has promoted four members of its business services team. John Glover, who joined HURST as a senior manager from BDO in 2015, has become an associate partner. Richard Smethurst and Paul Wright have become managers, while Anna Godwin has been promoted to assistant manager. All three began their careers at HURST as graduate trainees.
