Deloitte has appointed Richard Kibble as partner in the UK financial services team, where he will specialise in banking strategy and transformation. He joins from RBS ExCo where he worked as a strategy and corporate finance director for five years. His expertise includes digital strategy, innovation and regulation and he will support Deloitte’s banking clients through a range of digital transformation projects.

Cara Miller has joined MHA MacIntyre Hudson as a partner in its Chelmsford office. Miller started her career at Baker Tilly before going on to open her own accountancy practice in East Anglia. She was awarded a gold medal for achieving the highest exam results in the world in the professional stage of her ACCA examinations. She will work on a portfolio of corporate and not-for-profit clients, including local and national charities, independent schools, academies and community interest companies.

UHY Hacker Young has appointed Sam Klyman and Jack Brown as AAT trainees. They will work to become experts in accountancy cloud-based software Xero. The firm has also appointed Zoe Paradine, who is currently head of marketing and business development, to a partner in its London office. Paradine has worked at the firm for 15 years and is also on the UHY Hacker Young UK Board and Executive Committee.

Gareth Lathe and Alex McKeand have joined Fish Partnership, an accountancy firm based in High Wycombe. Lathe will begin studying towards the ACA and McKeand will be working in the firm’s audit and accounts department, where he will help with the preparation of accounts while also sitting his ACA exams.

Andrew Griggs, senior partner at Kreston Reeves, has been elected as a director to the Kreston International board, after a worldwide vote of the membership.

Andy Pickford has joined FRP Debt Advisory as a director based in the firm’s Manchester office and brings more than 25 years of banking and specialist lending experience. He joins from RBS in Manchester where he has spent the past 11 years, the most recent six as director of origination in RBS Asset Based Lending and prior to this had a 17-year career with HSBC, including seven years in HSBC’s Invoice Finance division.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond, has appointed Elisabeth Stheeman as an external member of the Financial Policy Committee (FPC). She will serve a three year term which will begin in 2018. She takes over from Dame Clara Furse who stepped down from the post in November 2016. Stheeman is an external adviser to the Bank of England, providing independent advice and senior industry expertise to the Prudential Regulation Authority. She has worked for over 25 years in the financial services industry, including roles as a chief operating officer in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley (2007 to 2012), and as a global chief operating officer for LaSalle Investment Management (2013 to 2014).
