Julie Humphrey has been promoted from senior manager to director at FRP Advisory’s Essex office. Humphrey has more than 13 years of restructuring and insolvency experience, having worked alongside FRP Advisory’s founding partners since the start of her business advisory career. She is a licensed insolvency practitioner and a qualified accountant. The firm has also promoted Arvindar Singh-Sall to partner in its Birmingham office. She is a licensed insolvency practitioner and qualified accountant with 25 years of experience advising and managing business and corporate restructurings. Singh-Sall joined FRP Advisory as director in 2014 and has delivered a number of assignments for various stakeholders enabling turnaround and restructuring solutions on behalf of both management and lenders which include corporate rescue and insolvency processes.
Asif Hamid, Aaron Wykes, Harry Witt, Sherry Yuen Ying Tung and Danny Hunt have all joined Moore Thompson. Hamid joins the firms Spalding office having previously worked as an accounts manager at a specialist VAT firm in Peterborough. Wykes join the firm’s sister company Moore Thompson Financial Management, where he will work as a paraplanner supporting the practices independent financial advisers. Witt, Tung and Hunt have been hired as trainees and will now undergo training with the firm.
Bradford accountancy firm Watson Buckle has taken on two trainees, Connor McLoughlin and Aiden Smith, who have both joined as business services assistants. Smith is currently undertaking his AAT and McLoughlin, who has recently completed his final AAT exams, will begin his ACA training in early 2018. The firm has also appointed Trudi Morton as a payroll clerk.
KPMG partner Ann Brown has been appointed as a trustee of the City & Guilds of London Institute. The board is led by the former Olympic Delivery Authority chairman Sir John Armitt.
Along with opening an office in Bristol, CVR Global has added three new members to its team. Steve Ramsbottom has joined as a partner, with more than 28 years of restructuring and insolvency experience after previously working at Moore Stephens, Deloitte and KPMG. Jess Jennings has joined as an associate director alongside Tanja Waack who has joined as a senior executive.
Former national cancer director and chief inspector of hospitals, Professor Sir Mike Richards, has joined PwC’s health industries team as a senior adviser. He will play a significant role in supporting PwC clients on assignments both in the UK and internationally.
